Set Table Lamp

The Set Table Lamp by designer Jamie Wolfond and brand Muuto is a masterclass in refined industrial elegance. Cast entirely in anodised aluminium, its sculptural base and underside-powder-coated shade give it a cold-metal aesthetic softened by subtle curves and understated craftsmanship.

Its standout feature is the large screw-thread mechanism around the body, which allows the shade to be raised or lowered as you twist, seamlessly altering the angle and radius of light. As Wolfond explains: “Adjusting the distance between the reflector and the light source not only dims the light, but also changes the radius of light cast.”

Functionally, the lamp directs its beam upwards, bouncing light off the shade’s interior to deliver a bright yet indirect ambient glow—ideal as a mood-setter in a reading corner, bedside, or on a sideboard. Its proportions (approximately 38 cm high by 34 cm in diameter) offer presence without dominating.

In essence, the Set Table Lamp marries industrial materials with everyday usability—its tactile adjustment invites interaction, while its quiet elegance means it can sit comfortably within both minimalist and more layered interiors.
